Mumford and Sons are without a doubt my favorite new band for 2010. Their folk rock is not toned down to the point where it's boring, but they certainly do not play stereotypical rock music. Best banjo stomps ever!
Muford and Sons is a good band! I don't know if you've ever heard of them, but the Del McCoury band is another good folk and bluegrass band. A lot of their songs are about Appalaichia and have an Appalaichian style beat and rythym to them. They are worth listening to though.
